Gloat's Skills Planner & Studio Commercial
A video campaign that proved even HR content can break rules, get laughs, and deliver results.
Most enterprise HR videos fall into one of two traps:
Dry and corporate. Feature-heavy and forgettable.
We needed to tell a clear story about why Gloat's tools matter, who they help, and how they work—
without boring the audience or overselling the tech.
What started as a product video turned into a hilarious, mockumentary-style testimonial-gone-wrong.
I believe humor is the fastest way to break through the noise—especially in traditionally “boring” spaces like HR—because it disarms, engages, and makes people actually want to watch, remember, and share your message.
What could’ve been a dry demo turned into one of Gloat’s most memorable product videos.
Our target audience immediately connected to Sarah’s panic, confusion, and ultimate relief—because it’s exactly what HR leaders are feeling right now with the GenAI chaos.
This was a full end-to-end creative project, and I led every part of it:
I wrote the script, directed the shoot, filmed all scenes and edited the final cut.

What started as a joke in the script ("Go Now! 1-800-GLOAT.COM!") became a real digital experience that surprised viewers, drove traffic, and converted leads—blurring the line between parody and performance marketing. We took the retro, over-the-top energy of the commercial to the next level by creating a fully functional website—1-800-GLOAT.COM—designed to look like a classic 90s infomercial page, complete with pixelated graphics, bold fonts, and punchy taglines.
This project proved that B2B doesn’t have to mean boring.
When you lead with creativity, humor, and real human frustration, the message lands harder—and sticks longer
